Medicine in Feira de Santana

UnexMED Feira de Santana: excellence, innovation, and leadership in medical education

The history of Unex in Feira de Santana began in the 1990s with the opening of the city’s first private college.

Unex’s growth over the years has reflected its commitment to academic quality and innovation. New courses were introduced, strategic partnerships were established, and the physical facilities were expanded to keep pace with changes in the educational landscape and the job market. This growth trajectory has solidified the institution’s position as a leader in higher education in Feira de Santana.

Since then, the institution has been transforming the educational landscape for the “Little Princess of the Sertão” (Feira de Santana’s traditional nickname), always keeping a close eye on the needs of society and developments in education. Today, as a University Center of Excellence, we remain committed to training professionals who will take the lead, prepared to face the human, social, and technological challenges of the present and the future.

Our campus is modern and welcoming, and is fully equipped to offer the best medical education and other programs in the fields of health and management. The laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for practical training in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, medical skills, and other areas. Everything is designed to ensure a learning experience that integrates theory and practice, using active teaching methods, top-notch faculty, and an environment of constant exchange.

A Medical Center serving the community

The Feira de Santana campus is also home to the Centro Médico UnexMED, a facility that provides free medical care to the public and serves as a practical learning environment for our students.

The center strengthens our social and educational role by providing the community with access to quality health care.
